Butt stock sleeve that holds ammo

I need an elastic sleeve/sock that goes over the butt stock of a rifle and holds extra ammo.

The gun is a 1885 falling block single shot in 22 hornet. I bought a standard such sleeve at Bass Pro but the 22 hornet cartridges are so small that they fall right through.

Solutions?

homemade

You can buy bulk elastic strap stuff at most fabric stores. Some ingenuity (or a cooperative friend w a Singer, and I don't mean a 1911) should allow you to fashion a cuff for .22 Hornet.

I found a saddle shop locally that made me a dandy one for 12ga, from leather, another option if you wanna pay.

Options ??

You could take and existing elastic sleeve and restitch it tighter. Even stitching a shotgun sleeve down the center of each loop, might work. ..

Your falling block is just asking for one of these and they really look good !!
