.280 to 7.5x55

Is it possible to resize .280 cases to be able to reload 7.5x55? I know you can resize .284 but I have a source that has several hundred .280 practically for nothing and I have a couple of 7.5x55 rifles.

Not recommended. 7.5x55 is significantly larger diameter than .280. The reason .284 works is that it has a larger case body than standard and rebated rim. Which means it chambers ok in 7.5 but does not always extract well.
