Looks like they are backing off (http://www.startribune.com/politics/...191731791.html). The kitchen apparently got a little too hot. The stated reason is that these issues (weapons bans and magazine limits) are better addressed at the Federal level. They are going to concentrate on background checks. Currently, in Minnesota you need a purchase permit (or a carry permit) to purchase a handgun or an "assault weapon". Maybe they will just extend this to everything. About time the "hunters" had some skin in the game.
