glock mags

Hello all

How often should you or need to change out glock carry mags?

I change out sig and 1911 mags monthly I'm just not sure about glock mags.

thank for you input!

I don't mean as in wearing out just as in rotating carry mags.

I have the same mag in my 1911 for a year now. The same mag has been in my G 30 for two year. I have no doubt they'll feed since I've been doing this for years and years. So how often do you "need" to change them? Weekly, monthly, yearly? Depends on if and how dirty they get. As often as makes “you” feel comfortable.

Hi Jerry 45

I don't mean replacing mags I have never needed to do that.

I just mean I load and carry two mags and go to the range twice a month and shoot those two mags I then after after one month I clean them two and load up two other to carry for the next month I was just wondering if that is necessary for glock mags?

I'm just talking about rotating not replacing.

Lets ssay you carry three mags two spares and one in your gun do you uae and keep them loaded for many many months or do you rotate them with different mags in a certain period of time?

Your regiment sounds just fine. I don’t treat my Glock mags any differently than any other pistol mag. Some stay loaded for years.

I keep my carry mags fully loaded. What weakens springs is repeated loading and unloading. Carry mags are fully loaded, extras are unloaded until readied for carry or I go to the range. Rifle, AR15 and Sig 522 mags (all of them) are fully loaded all the time.
