picked up a used 1300 Defender.

8 shot, blued, wood stock. How SOL am I if anything goes wrong in this? How involved is the work on the ejector and interruptors (it looks similar to the 870)? Where can I get replacement parts? like firing pin, etc?

Has anyone ever cut and shaped a Wolff magazine spring for one of these?

Followers? The stock follwer looks different than a Remingtoon or Mossberg follower...can I drop a Nordic or Scattergun follower in and have it work well?

Love the gun, but it is not going to be as easy as maintaining my Mossbergs...

im a newb, but i just bought a winchester 1200 and ive been told most parts are interchangeable between the 1200 and 1300 (1300 barrel will fit 1200 but not the other way around). parts are supposedly easy to find for the 1300. sorry i cant help you much more, hopefully someone knowledgeable can chime in. mines a win 1200 18" stainless steel police model 6 round mag.

Any gun smith can get parts for the 1300. It is well built and should do well for you.

it would probably look REALLY nice if you nickel plated it. im personally a fan of the tactical black shotgun... but when i saw that stainless winchester shining on the rack at the gun store, i knew it was mine

i had never really seen a stainless steel shotgun except in the movies, so i was very inclined to buy it while i had the chance (i went into the shop to buy a savage edge in .308) damn shiny guns always catching my eye (and money)
