AKS-74U.... Suppressed?
Hey guys, I know that the booster, or expansion chamber makes the weapon platform run reliably. But if I were to put surefire's mini suppressor on it, would that still provide enough gas feedback to cycle the weapon profficiantly? Or, any suppressor for that fact? What about a Brake?
Thanks |

Silencers generally increase backpressure so some owners of gas operated rifles use an adjustable gas port to limit the increase in pressure on the bolt. My AK (WASR) runs fine with a silencer. As the barrel is fixed in place there is no need for the booster that is required on recoil operated actions with a floating barrel.
Any silencer made for the 223 Remington should work just fine. Ensure that the barrel threads align the can properly. Ranb |
