Vibratory Cleaner

I'm in need of a vibratory case cleaner, but know very little (i.e. nothing) about them.

I want to be able to clean about 100 30-06 cases at a time, ideally with a little rooom to spare.

Any suggestions as to the best models & best value deals out there at the moment ?

I value durability, noise is not a concern.

Thanks in advance for the sage advice !

Get the cheapest one you can find in the Midway or Brownell's catalog.

i'd stay away from the Midway--i bought one and it broke after a few days and was repaired......got it back....lasted a few more days and broke again.....Midway refunded my money (good folks to deal with)....bought the small Dillon....been running for years now with no problems......Dick

I will echo Steve's recommendation of Lyman's cleaner. Mine has several thousand hours on it without a single problem. (Of course, having said that, it will break down tomorrow.)

I have a Lyman "Turbo Twin" and all I can say is "it gets after it"!

The ONE complaint I have about it is it has no switch..........you have to plug or un-plug it to turn it on or off...........asides from that I am totally pleased.

I've had the Midway for about a month now (I know that's not a lot of time), and have not had any problem with it. The rotary media seperator is a good idea as well. The switch is convenient and it seems well built.

Perhaps I've had good luck with it because I've not run it for more than 90 minutes at a stretch and have let it sit for 15-30 minutes before turning it back on. Having read many posts here before buying one it seemed that most people who had one fail had it fail after using it continuously for long periods or running it when it got hot. Since I'm usually only tumbling one batch a day, this precaution hasn't been inconvenient.

My midway - frankford arsenal, is about a year old. Has survived countless 12 hour overnight and all day at work tumbling sessions without a hitch so far.

I've got the Lyman Turbo 1200 - had it for years. Nary a problem, and it has a rocker switch unit midway on the power cord.

I have a Lyman that Quit working after about 6 mo. Replaced it with one from Midway. Being an electrican I can say that all the tumblers I've looked at use the same motor so there isn't a lot of difference between an of them except price.

I use a RCBS case tumbler.I've been using it now for 10 years with no problems.I leave it going overnight with up to 200 .308 cases. Also have a Midway tumbler I got with their moly coat kit.It doesn't seem as heavy duty as the RCBS.HTH. Skullboy

Well, I ordered a Lyman Turbo 1200 for $44 - seemed like a reasonable deal
