Need load data for A2495 in .308

My daughter's boyfriend just bought an AR-10 in .308 and I have Accurate 2495. Any one have data for 2595 with 150 grain bullets ?

I have that. My understanding is that 2495 duplicates the IMR 4895 curve to a tee. Looking at other sources the IMR 4895 is loaded hotter and I wonder if one could do safely with 2495.

Or since it is an AR platform should I stick with Garand loading data which is pretty mild?

I ran tests in my M1a with 155 Nosler's and 150 Hornady's. You are going to be close to a GI equivalent load of 42.5 grains AA2495 with a 150. This will push a 150 grain bullet just at 2700 fps in a 22 inch barrel. Some older GI clocked at 2800 fps but the stuff was hard on the gun; my gas guns ran smoother at 2700 fps.

You do not want to push bullets faster in AR's because the things will unlock when there is too much breech pressure and rip rims off. Will also bust the extractor in time.

AA2495 is an excellent copy of IMR 4895. The 4895 series of powders, AA2495, IMR 4895, H4895 should be the first choice for 308 gas guns as the military round was developed with IMR 4895 as the propellant.

I have used IMR 3031 to IMR 4064, don't go any slower than IMR 4064 in a 308 gas gun. A little faster (IMR 3031) is better than a little slower. IMR 4895 is the good middle choice.
