FNP 9mm Owners

Anyone own an FNP9? How has this pistol performed for you?

Flawlessly. Great gun, very good ergonomics, pretty good accuracy, and a real "sleeper" IMHO.

I have made two modifications to mine. Since I am basically a 1911 guy so I tend to have a high thumb grip. This was riding on the decocker and was causing me to accidentally decock the gun while shooting. So I cut the left side lever off. I like it a lot better now. Then I took a Dremel tool to the base of one of the magazines to reduce printing during carry.

I don't have one, but my brother does. He likes it a lot, I've shot it a little and I really liked it. Good accuracy (as far as I can tell), felt good in my hands, seems like a quality handgun. Really liked that it is a "plastic", hammer fired gun. So far it has been 100% for him.

Only downside I see, which is not enough of an issue that would dissuade me from buying one is there is very little aftermarket support that I have seen. Definitely not near the aftermarket support of something like a Glock, XD, 92 or 1911.

Had one. Then trade for the FNX. Both have been outstanding for me. Amazing value.

100% reliable after 4 years and countless rounds. I love my FNP9, it is accurate nice balance and good service trigger. I shoot as much as possible. Everything feels like its in the right place for me. It's true the after market support isn't great but then again I don't feel like it needs anything added to it. I do have to admit I wouldn't mind a spring guide rod style laser sight. These are great guns and well thought out, the take down pin stays in the frame when you field strip so there is no chance of losing if you somehow mange to get a jam in a high stress situation. I have never had any failures of any kind with any ammo.

After a lot of looking around I picked up an FNS9 yesterday. It's my first high cap plastic gun but I think I made a good choice.

I have the rare FNP-9m as well as FNP9 and FNX9. Never a single malfunction out of any of them.

I had one for several years that I swapped so I could get another 1911. It was a very good gun. Well made, very easy to disassemble for cleaning. Great ergonomics. Never had any malfunctions of any kind with it.
