Vortex Scopes?

Anyone on here have any opinions on these scopes? I was looking at a 6x24x50- and was just curious on what everyone thought about them...

Vortex viper

I just installed a VORTEX VIPER 6.5X20X44 w/TARGET DOT, SIDE FOCUS and a 30mm tube on my 20 VARTARG. The repeatability is good and I have fired some impressive test groups at 100 yards using this scope. My favorite scope is a Leupold EFR and although the VORTEX is a nice scope I don't think it compares to the Leupold. I don't consider myself a Leupold snob the EFR is the only Leupold I have and thats only because I got it used at a reasonable price.

I bought a 6x24 Crossfire from The Sample List for $89.When I recieved it I mounted it on a rifle went to the range ti sight in. I discovered the turrets had two clicks of slop but it held zero and the glass was as good as my Nikons.I contacted Vortex about the problem with the turrets and and they had me send it in for under waranty for repairs. Other than that it seems to be a good scope especially so for $89 and they back up their life time waranty.

I also bought a Sightron and I think these are really good products for the money as well.

Also before you buy any optical product you might want to check with the Sample List because they have some really good prices.

A 6-24 sounds like you're thinking about a Crossfire line model? Vortex has a great, no questions asked transferable warranty, but as they themselves will admit, the lower priced Crossfire line constitutes a good deal of their returns. They can be really great scopes for the price, but quality isn't as consistent as the Diamondback, Viper and premium Razor lines from the reviews I've read.
I've shot a Crossfire on a .22 AR. It has very nice glass for its price range. Adjustments seemed roughly on, but that was at 50yds and under, so not too much of a test. It held zero just fine of course.
My Viper 6.5-20x44 is easily the best scope I own. I bought it in preference to a Nikon Monarch 5-20x44 model. Its glass is on par with my dad's Bushnell 4200 Elite, which is a nice scope in its own right. It tracks well out to 300yards.

I own a Vortex Viper 6.5-20 x 50mm Mil Dot. I absolutely love the scope. It's tough, accurate, and has excellent glass quality.

In my opinion, it is every bit as good as a Leupold VXIII, without the whopping price tag. I absolutely will own another one, and have shot some excellent groups with it. For the record, Remington 700 SPS Varmint, .308 Win.
