Suppressor for an Air Rifle???
Hi everyone,
I live in NY and was curious to find out it suppressors for air guns are considered NFA items??? Thanks!!! -George |

If it is removable, it could, technically, be adapted to a rifle. So it will likely fall under NFA oversight.
I haven't heard anyone say that the air rifles with integral suppressors are illegal in any particular jurisdictions and they are not restricted by any federal rulings AFAIK... Brent |

Any detactable silencer that will work on an air rifle will also work on a firearm, even if only for one round. So this makes them title 2 fireams subject to the $200 tax.
As far as I know the only way to avoid the tax is to have it built integral to an air rifle barrel. Ranb |

Could swear that Gamo sells a air rifle with a built in legal non removable suppressor. Iirc it's called a whisper something......?
