Any leatherworkers on board?

My son bought me one of these for my birthday.

The straps are 36 inches long and designed to be carried on a saddle or ATV.

Do any of you have a suggestion for a system where I could also make it into a shoulder carrying system? To sling it?

I'd like to be able to carry my gun into heavily wooded, stickers, thorns, and let the scabbard take the damage, not the gun.

thanx

From what little I can make out, it should not be a problem. Looks line you might have an M/L or other vintage rifle in there. I'm seeing carrying it, muzzle-down as I would not trust, muzzle-up. Modifying or adding straps to the back side, should not be a problem. You could even add standard sling swivels of older style in keeping to what you now have. Again, from what I see, I'd sling it cross-shoulder, butt end over the back of my right shoulder. Any "fair" leather-worker should be able to make the changes needed and I can't see that it would really take much to change it out. .....

Be Safe !!!
