I've always thought that a synthetic shotgun stock is more durable and rugged. But I spoke to Robar this morning, and they told me that a wooden stock (coated with their Polymax finish) is more durable and stronger than synthetic. Is this true?

What's wrong with the one on the weapon? I've used pre WWI shotguns whose stocks were in fine shape, after decades of use.
Even Correctional Weapons, used and abused by a variety of quasi-qualified people rarely have a need to replace the stock. If the stock comes close to fitting you,and aids in absorbing recoil sufficiently, what's the point. |
