Umirex purchased Walther and uses Walther's name on many cheap products produced by Umirex that Walther never even touches.

To be honest, I figured that S&W would end up owning them, or at least a good hunk of Walther's stock.

Whit ticks me off about the whole Zamak Umarex made "Walther" is the fact that they just had to redesign the magazine so they wouldn't fit into old steel framed original Walthers. BTW: I believe Umarex has owned Walther since ca. 1993. If I am mistaken, someone please correct me.

Regarding ANY Zamak pistol, it is something that I just will not own.
I have witnessed first hand a Zamak German made .38 revolver that literally was so corroded, it crumbled to pieces when it was tapped on our carpeted counter in the store where I worked. If that poor old lady (who probably couldn't afford any better) had ever fired that gun, it would have been like a hand grenade. (I have made other posts about this incident, but I suspect those that defend Zamak firearms must learn the lesson for themselves.)
