I've been trying to track down .22lr and 9mm lately. It seems the local Wal-mart stocks the shelves on Monday mornings. So I might stop by in the morning. Or I'll go late tonight. Trap loads seem to be disappearing as well!
While I was cruising through Midway's website this afternoon, I came to realize that I need something in 6.5mm, 7mm, or .25", as it seems there is a decent amount of reloading supplies, or bullets at least, in those calibers. Still waiting to find my pet Hornady 60gr .224" V-max, and Sierra Gamekings in .224", .244", and .308". I might be waiting a while... |

Ordered some new production M2 ball projectiles (.308, 150 gr, flat base) from Widener's April 5. Delivered April 11! $395/2K.
They're still in stock now. It's starting to get better. |

Can anyone give me prices on bulk ammo? our fleet farm got a bunch of ammo in. Most of it is crazy prices IMO. 31 for 100 wwb 9mm and and 50 for 100 of 45acp... Its really quite depressing.
Is this the new norm? I thought 19.95 for 100 was rough.

We just paid $58 for 100 Federal 9mm and were so much as happy about it... just because it's that or have nothing.

I don't think it's the new normal. Wholesale prices haven't gone up that much, its the choice of the retailer to charge that much. Many are still charging "normal" prices for what they have in stock. Wal mart had 100 rd boxes of Federal 9's for $21 and change a week ago.

All the LGS around here have a box limit. Even Walmart. Can't say much about The big guys, can't seem to find ammo there at all in 9mm or 22.
Shame when i see people do that. I remember when it was hitting it's low point here and people would buy bunches to resell. Sad. But i find all the reload supplies i need between the LGS and online. Seems like the LGS has Small pistol primers, powder and find bullets online as well as brass at the LGR. Haven't seen primer and powder in month's here til lately where they have full shelves of powder and more recently small pistol primers.

Prepanic the Federal 100rd boxes of 9mm were $20/box but I haven't seen those. Last week I paid $50 for 100rd box of American Eagle 5.56 at Dick's. Those used to be $35-40/box pre-panic. |

Between the Morons buying everything in site, and the shops price gouging, the sane guys don't stand a ______ chance right now!

I think it might be the overinflated prices as well, ramit. Haven't been there since the madness drove up prices ( saw a stock M&P 15-22 there at nearly $800 a few months back, before the AWB went down in flames ). How is it there now? Gouging on ammo as well?

The wife and I just picked up Federal 100rd boxes at wallyworld for $21 and change tonight. Also got tulammo 7.62x39 for $5 a box. Both seemed to be in stock at all the wallys in a 50 mile radius tonight. At least according to the app which has been reliable so far. They also had some tulammo 9mm and .40 plus a couple kinds of .22lr in 50rd boxes.
Edit: almost forgot they also had 44mag and .223 tulammo as well.

The Walmart app. Download it and search ammo. If it says in stock at a certain store it is either on the shelf or on a truck heading there. Limited stock means 1-3 boxes available.

Steelbird- id say prices on handguns were about 10-20% over pre panic.
ARs still up there. They rarely had good ammo prices. My buddy did go there after the SH incident and bought 10 cans of fiocchi canned heat 9mm for 270. |

Buying AR mags now is silly. They are in the stores around here and certainly on the Internet.
I bought some Herter 223 from Cabelas last week. Use it in carbine matches.

Things continue to improve around here. SLOWLY, but improving. When you can wander in to Wal Mart mid day on a weekend and there is still ammo in the case, that's a big deal!
On Friday evening at Cabela's in Richfield they had a small mountain of PMC .223 55gr, quite a bit of 7.62x51 / .308, tons of 7.62x39. Alas, not much in the way of pistol ammo though, and zero .22LR. Tons of AR/AK mags. Certain brands of basic metal AR mags were "on sale" for 50% off ($14.99). No one I saw was buying them. Saturday around lunch time, stopped at Wal Mart in Beaver Dam. Was amazed to see bulk UMC ammo, 250 round packs of both 9mm and .45ACP. At Fleet Farm they had a huge pile of .38spl and some UMC 250 packs of .45ACP and .40 S%W. I still have not seen a single box of .22LR anywhere in months. Luckily I had a few bulk packs and several boxes of CCI in my stash before the panic, so I haven't needed to buy any (yet). I don't feel the need to stockpile 20K rounds of it, but it's nice to take the old Mark 1 out and plink now and then.
