Yeah stores get them intermittently, but then they're gone. A gun store in Leominster announced they received 5 on Facebook and whoosh, gone within a few hours. At full retail price too ($449). I held one in my hands but it was Connecticut compliant, so I was bummed.

Much like an article about Mila Kunis, this was a well-written piece with a beautiful picture about something that is impossible to get.

Well done. Enjoy it!

Unfortunately around here, as I'm sure it is most places, (especially in these times) there is a shield waiting list and its 35 names long last I checked. I really want one of these guns though. I think I'll call tomorrow and see if I can get on the list.

What does "connecticut compliant" mean? It came with a free gun lock?

I bought the Bersa BP 9 and couldn't be happier with it. Same size and weight as the Shield, two 8 round mags, and no external safety. Lower price and same or better quality.
