Right now... my S&W 2213. I love this little pistol. What a joy to shoot. I have twenty one .22 pistols, so the 2213 has lots of competition. Honorable mention goes to my Ruger LC9/Twisted Industries 22 conversion.

Favorite 22 semi-auto pistol

HS Victor. Quite fond of the Ruger Mark II however. It actually replaced the Victor for plinking and fun.

This is how mine gets carried, on my saddle wherever we go.

That advantage for this is, if you get thrown and your horse runs off, at least the horse will still be armed.

Benelli MP95E

My worst decision to sell a gun ever!! Now I can't afford to replace her. Now its my Smith 41. At least until the gun gods drop another Benelli into my lap.

I have had a LOT of them over 45 years or so...My FAVORITES now are a little odd, but ;

Sig Mosquito...use the LIGHT spring, installed correctly-shoots EVERYTHING all day long and accurately. Light, cheap, good shooter.

Astra Constable - Picked one up by accident - just saw it on the shelf when I have money - VERY reliable, very strong, all milled steel version of the PPK, but very accurate and easy to shoot well. Get used factory mags, no matter what they cost -they work perfectly!
I have read posts by people who own the Constable AND the Walther .22 and prefer the Astra by a large margin.

S&W 2213 - Have had this one for over 10 years, and when I go, I'm taking it along. NEVER malfunctioned, shoots everything, accurate, small, easy to shoot well...so of course Smith stopped making them. They are VERY expensive now, but that does not matter - I have not seen one for sale for maybe 8 years...people keep them.

You asked, you got it.

M41 and Single Six

S&W M 41. If you can find one! Awesome 22. it is truly a tack driver. I have had mine for 30 years. it is a real pleasure to shoot, and just admire. The original grips are super good to hold and super good looking,

Second choice is a Ruger new model single six. Two cylinders 22 & 22 mag.

I absolutely agree. Thats why I posted my 2213 above, as my favorite. Ive only had it a few short months, but it has shot everything perfectly. They are very high quality pistols, that werent very expensive when they were new. The larger 422/622/2206 series doesnt seem to command the high price of the little 2213/14, but are just as good, and of the same quality. Great pistols. Here are my 3, and all are favorites.

I would normally say either of my Ruger MKIIs or my Single Six, but this is my current fave right now 'cause it's so new and I haven't gotten over the excitement of the purchase.

Kimber .22lr conversion kit mated with my SW1911.

I only have 2 pistols in 22lr and I enjoy them both, Ruger 22/45 and a GSG 1911-22.

Walther P22 melts into my hand and is extremely accurate. A real blast to shoot. Love those aspects of it. It could be concealed easily too, if no other option I suppose.

With that said, I'd rather own the Ruger SR22, its stunt double, as the P22 is worst gun EVER to reassemble, unless something has recently changed in that regard. Every time I clean it, I nearly fling spring across room when putting back together...I equate it to playing a firearms Twister of sorts.

I do like the SW MP22 also. A great one too, but not quite as accurate as P22 for me.

Supermatic Citation

No longer mine but that 107 is a sweet shooter, I hope the gentleman that bought it is enjoying it.

Mine is my Ruger SR22. It has been reliable, accurate and is easy to carry in my back pack when camping.

I'm torn, so I must name two, and even that stinks because there's at least two others that deserve a shout-out.

Lately, I've been head over heels in love with a 1952 Colt Challenger. It was a 5-year run of "budget" guns in the Woodsman line. It's laser accurate and runs perfectly always. As with just about any Woosdman or variant, the feel of the slide on it's rails is nearly indescribable, but you might think "perfection" or "amazing" or "unreal" if you've never had the pleasure of drawing one back. It's like a warm knife through a stick of butter. Please pick up the next Woodsman you see at a show or shop if you've not ever had the pleasure. If every gun guy read this suggestion and followed it, the Woodsman market would -snap- and go on a meteoric rise.

As much as I am -wowed- by the above pistol, I couldn't let it knock my Ruger KMK-512 off it's roost. I purchased it new in 1994, it's the stainless, 5.5" bull barreled Mark II with adjustable sights, including the rakish under-cut front sight. This pistol runs 100%, 100% of the time, and it's as accurate as I could possibly ask. Occasionally, when someone brings up a thread about what gun you wish to be buried with, I hold this one THAT close to my heart. I have only two regrets with this fine pistol:

1) I didn't start keeping a round count on each of my guns until somewhere around 2006, so I truly have no idea how much it's eaten... and I would simply love to know. But I purchased it new.

2) I used to pack my guns for a range day in a large pistol case or even a rifle case, where you stick as many in as you can and wedge 'em tight in the foam and hope they don't move, yeah?! Well, I sure as heck don't do -THAT- anymore... the underside of the beautiful fat bull barrel has an inch-long scratch as the front sight from some other handgun rattled up against it in transit. Part of me died that day. I'm still angry at myself for it.

I bought my KMK512 in 1989, my first new pistol. I have less than 500 rounds through mine, and its semi-retired. No scratches

Browning Buckmark. It was once a silhouette model before I inherited it from a good friend. I cut the barrel and had it nickle plated. This gun has been shot a lot, and won many 22 matches here in southern New England

Thanks Mike
