Old Army Cylinder

I was lucky enough to happen into a Ruger Old Army sans cylinder, base pin, and lever. Problem solved by Walter Kirst and Kelly Schlepp, but I still want cap and ball capability. Never done that and I want to join the ranks.

If you have a spare original cylinder for an Old Army, please let me know!

Apart from that, if you want a really sweet .45 Colt, beg, borrow, or buy a Kirst cylinder for your Old Army. I have probably 500 rounds of everything from soft Cowboy loads to hog slappers using 250gr Hornadys at 1000fps through the rig so far. No complaints - from me or my micrometer and feeler gauges - except that heavy bullets at high velocity generate a lot of recoil.

For what it's worth, this pistol is every bit as accurate as my 1955 S&W.

Post here, or better at naco64@hotmail if you've got my cylinder.
