new rifle
I know it is mostly personal preff but what would be a good rifle to get. Some of my fellow officers say browing some say weatherby price will be a factor since I work for the state. I had a savage 110 back in high school but want something diffrent.

New rifle for what?
I guess deer hunting, since it is deer season now?
What do you want to be different from your old Savage? I'd probably go with a T/C Encore rifle, either in 243 Win or 44 Magnum.

Yeah really need more info on needs and desires... So I will plug the venerable lever action... Mine being a .30-30 marlin.
