I have used Loctite in the past and have had no prob's with it!!

Loctite is available in several formulas. The blue stuff, #242 I think, is appropriate for scope screws and the like. Stud and Bearing Mount Loctite is semipermanent( mine is red ) and requires special tools for disassembly. As far as I know, Guntite and 242 Loctite are identical.
