Okay to use a semiauto barrel on a pump?

A winchester 1300 i got came with a 1400 barrel on it. The barrel has gas ports in it. Is it okay to shoot since the ports are covered by the mag tube or will stuff still expel out from under the tube? Or can i fill them with jb weld or somethin? Any help on this would be appreciated. Dont want to do an unsafe bubba fix, but if its not big deal i would rather not have to buy a new barrel

Don't use a semi auto barrel on a pump even if it may fit.

JB Weld is okay for some things but it's not going to block a gas port and stay put.

Be smart, buy a new barrel.
