H&R Pardner Turkey Gun

Handled one of these in a friend's garage and just had to have one. So, ordered one in camo, 12 gauge (Oh, so tempted by that 10 gauge!) and am waiting for it to come in. Anybody have one of these can give me a report on it? My pal Steve says it's a great shooter and he likes it better for a turkey gun than his Mossberg or Benelli, pump gun and autoloader respectively. First time I have bought a gun without a test fire, simply on a whim, but it was so inexpensive and my buddy was very enthusiastic about it.

Say, are H&R and New England Firearms one in the same? Have seen the Pardner listed under both names.
