I have some money for a scope for my Colt AR. It has a fixed carry handle. I would like to buy a scope and mount for it. It is accurate but I don't see as well as I did when I was young. I hand load the sierrra 77 grain moly coated round an it shoots very well. I can't see out to the range I would like to shoot. What can I get for a few hundred that would also let me use the iron sites as well. Thanks, John Mason MSG USA (retired and getting old)

I use a Leupold Vari-II 1x4 shotgun scope with the thick reticle.

On one of my ARs with the fixed carrying handle, I have the Tasco 3x9 rubber armored scope with integral rings. The base is the ARMS detachable with the Colt logo. Another upper wears the 3x Colt scope.
