Well, I carry The 92 FS, stainless long before the law-enforcement professionals and military were carrying it, and now as a backup I carry a Carbon 15 pistol in .223, much to most peoples surprise I've been in some pretty hairy shootouts and all the professionals seem to say shootouts last fewer than a few seconds, I beg to differ since my last hot encounter lasted more than a half hour, I think they ran out of ammo, and I lost a 97 GMC Jimmy as it was too covered with holes to drive afterwards.
Since then I cannot be too prepared I have bought a Level 3a vest I don't wear unless I'm going to a troubled area of town, but it is kinda small and a littlie to warm this time of year, so I just upgraded my backup firepower to a small Carbon 15 with a 100rnd drum mag, a completely last resort piece of hardware. But my primary carry gun of choice is the full size Beretta 9mm 92 FS with a 15 rnd mag and Glaser blue fragmenting ammo. No holster just tuck it in my belt pull over my shirt and off I go. |

Perfect and comfortable I wear a 2 inch thick leather belt and tuck a full size 9mm or .40 cal right on my waist band and I can run jump and you cant see it and it stays snug, Some times some small adjustments but otherwise it stays put. I have nice holsters but I find them uncomfortable and inconvenient
Now the .223 Carbon 15 Pistol Type 21S ( the new ban free one with the fore and high cap ) heres a pic of one is another story I usually carry it in a special bag, may I'll get a sling if I mount a shorted 37mm Pyro launcher on it. If some one has a 37mm for sale: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/....php?p=1410539 I want to add that with a gas or rubber shot Less Likely to be lethal so I will have that option if I'm forced to use lethal force, All the cops, pro's and lawers say not to do that becaue of civil liability but they arnt there at the time makeing the decision to "pull the trigger" I think it would give options to defuse the situations with possibly not killing someone, dont get me wrong I still concider it "Use of Lethal Force" just "Less than lethal" I beleive it the catch phrase. |

I carry a S&W410s in a Safariland paddle holster, or a CZ P-01 in the same holster.

So, tpdtom, who made those distinctive grips on the Yost High Power? It looks like there is a slighly dished-out section for the left thumb to snuggle into, firing right handed. Am I right?

A SIG 239 with.....
The gun is only 1/2 the equation. What you carry it concealed IN is just as important. I've researched different holsters for nearly 20 years. The best for concealment that I've found is Pager Pal. It's the only TRUE concealment holster available and, if carried properly, does not print AT ALL. It's very comfortable, right or left handed, comes in black (preferable), and is a logical extension of your cell phone.
Try one for $60. You'll never use another holster for totally concealed carry.

It seems that you would have to reach half way down your pants to draw your gun though.

HK P7M8 or Sig P245 or a Glock 30, depending on mood. When I cannot carry one of these, a P32 in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. My P3AT is just not as reliable.

Beretta Model 85. (Cheetah with a single stack 8 round magazine)
Beretta Model 92F Compact (Single stacked. A.K.A Model 92M) Beretta Model 9000S (9mm) Beretta Model 8357 (Model 8000 chambered for .357 Sig) Colt Model Defender (Nice little stainless steel .45 auto with partial nickel plating on the slide.) Smith & Wesson Model 19. Won't Waste my money on a Glock and I won't touch a smith Autoloader. Smith's Revolvers are second best to Colt's, but I'd take a Glock automatic over a Smith automatic. |

I plan soon to carry the Mountain Gun in .45 LC. I need to get service grips for it and plan on a Triple-K shoulder rig. |

Newbie to forum, but here's my two cents
Been carrying 20+ years....started with Smith K frames, and from then to now, 1911, Beretta M9 (92F), Sig M11 (M228), Glock 19/23. Have settled on J frame 37 in pocket and Glock36 in Hume JIT as my cc guns, (based on worldwide availability of ammo) and adjust based on the situation from there.

What do I carry?
Kimber PRO CDP .45 ACP w/silver tips 99% of the time.
Occasionally, a Ruger .357 single action w/hollow points. Also, in my state it doesn't have to be concealed so I have been known to carry openly. |
