This is not good, however, the girls were not just dumb but stupid for going back, the homeowner had just run them off and here they come again, that would imply a renewed assault, possibly with additional people with arms and IF it was in Texas, it would have been likely a good shoot.Texas law authorizes deadly force in the case of criminal mischief, AFTER DARK.
Criminal trespass, returning to trespass again after being run off, is very much criminal mischief.
The state really makes a lot of difference.

Shooting people just because they are up to mischief is STUPID and he should be locked up for life!!! Holy **** how many of us would be dead. we all played our pranks and unless your life is in danger. real danger not Rambo wannbe paranoid danger then you have no right to shoot. NONE AT ALL. this shooting was not justified. if you beleive it was then you should not be alowed to own a firearm much less carry one!!
