Team Redneck Members - Brian Bilby Memorial

It's just 2 weeks now 'til we meet again at the IDPA Nationals. Brian was with us last year and we had great fun with "Team Redneck". Now he's gone but far from forgotten.

Team Redneck Members unite! Answer this post and tell me when you will be at the Nationals. We want to pick an evening when all of us are there and make a true "Bilby-like" scene at the hospitality room, dressed in our Team Redneck shirts and sporting our best Bilby-Bob custom work. Brian deserves a public tribute to his talents and we need an excuse to display our Red-nekkedness!!

Post here and contact any Team Redneck Members who may not have web access or may not have seen this message.

Team Redneck wannabees are welcome to join in but you ain't gonna get a shirt - those were a "one-time" deal. All who knew and loved Brian and his work are encouraged to participate. Lets make a scene. Brian would have wanted it that way...

Team Redneck?

I'll be at the nationals. I got my redneck the old fashioned way. Working the oil patch for 14 years. Does that count?

Brian Bilby, a famous Yankee (Michigan) pistolsmith, had a devoted following among some of us Southern shooters. He liked to refer to us collectively as his Team Redneck. We had some T-shirts made and got together with Brian at the 2000 IDPA Nationals where we had a great time and made great fun of the "official" Yankee Pistolsmith to Team Redneck.

Little did we know that in a few short weeks Brian would no longer be with us. He passed away near Christmas time last year. The original Team Redneck will forever more be the only ones to have the shirts. Other owners and admirers of Brians masterful work "the Team Redneck Wannabes" have been invited to join us at this year's IDPA Nationals to remember Brian. All are welcome.
