Remington R1 Carry, viewpoints

Anyone have any good or negative thoughts on the Remington R1 1911s and in particular the Carry models?

I'm very satisfied.

I seem to remember some criticism about how the barrel fits into the frame; this was early models, I believe of the plain government style models.

.

I've a standard/government Model 1911R1 for about 2 years now, and it's been trouble-free since day 1.

Although I changed the hammer from the issue spur-type to a Commander-type rowel hammer (for personal preference only), I'm of the general opinion that if it's not broke, don't "fix" it.

I have owned a Carry Model for about a year. Love it. No hiccups whatsoever. It's actually a more enjoyable shooter than my SA Loaded. Both pistols have been left bone stock. Considering adding an Enhanced model to the collection.
