Winchester 1300's
With the New Haven closing, is there any collectability reason why I should buy a Model 1300 Defender? Asking price is $329, NIB.

Not really.
There are MANY MANY Model 1300 shotguns out there, and it's going to be a LONG time before there's any collector interest. |

It's still a very good shotgun but the price you quoted is not especially cheap. I would agree with Dfariswheel in terms of the 1300's ultimate collectability status: your great-great-great grandson might realize a profit if you buy it today.

I bought one a few years ago for $239 brand new. It's not a collectible.
Also, FN is making a souped up tac version of the same gun.
