I recently moved back to texas from louisiana. I had a chl in louisiana and i know it was valid in texas when i lived in louisiana. Has that changed now that i moved back to texas or do I need to take the class all over again or can i just send in a copy of my la chl and the paper work to apply for tx chl. I have searched all over the internet but i cant find an answer anywhere. any help is appreciated.

Here's your actual statutes:
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.u...htm/GV.411.htm Subchapter H. I didn't notice anything that said your out of state permit became invalid when you moved to Texas. You can apply for the Texas CHL immediately upon moving to Texas. Looks like you will have to take the training, unless you have military training that is equivelant. |
