Rating The Hk-g3 Clone Receiver
#################################
Thanks for the forum, guys. I've been trying to find some data on the G3 clone receiver, especially the aluminum ones (ala Federal Arms) as they seem to lean towards the AR series. I understand they pin the barrel assembly to the receiver (two each, one upper & one lower. What kind of shear forces are we dealing with at that junction? I understand that the FAL/L1A1 series have a longer reported service life than the G3/91 series, supposedly due to the stamped sheetmetal as opposed to using forged or (more so now) cast receivers. Any feedback on this subject matter would be extremely instructive. Finn ################################# |
