Having a heck of a time locating 30mm high rings to put a Springfield 4.5-14x56mm scope on a Ruger 77VT. Any ideas of who to contact? Thanks

Millet makes 'em. Brownell's carries 'em. Be sure and don't pay retail at Brownell's.

Thanks, George and Hank. I ain't too smart ... I've got a Brownell's catalog and didn't even think to look there. I can't wait to get this scope on and see if the 77VT will shoot. Thanks, again. RTKB

Burris also makes an extra-high silver 30mm Ruger ring. I've use both Burris and Millet rings on my Rugers, both are steel. The Millet ring is fine, and less expensive (they'll run ya about $25). The Burris ring looks nicer and can be torqued to higher loads (they'll run ya around $45). Both are windage adjustable, unlike Ruger rings. Warren also makes a silver 30mm extra-high Ruger ring but they run around $75. Warren rings are expensive, I've got two pairs (not on Rugers) and they're worth the price. -- Kernel
