SFAIK, Conetrol is a family affair, and old age might be a factor. I bought a set in 1971. Probably should check with such as Brownell's or Midway, to see what's in stock.

Always sad to see a pop or mom & pop firm churning out high-quality, high-value items stop making things just because there's no competent kids or anyone else to take over the business. However, it's also probably due to market factors - people don't want to pay for high quality anymore, generally speaking.

Conetrols are the most aesthetically-pleasing mounts I've ever seen, save ultra-custom.
