Close out sales at Wal-Mart

I've been hitting the local Wal-Mart and have picked up a few bargains. Yesterday I bought triple 7 for $11 a pound. They had 209 primers for $2.50 and a lot of other black powder accessories. They have loads of pyrodex pellets. They like to blow it all out after the deer hunting season and prices drop every week.

Thanks for the heads-up as this sale should be coming to our local Wal-Mart as well. I too have gotten some super deals on powder and accessaries. Last year I even boght a new T.C. M/L at a reduced price. They mostly do not hang on to their stuff from year to year and don't mind pushing it out the door and I don't mind it either. Have been told by the department manager, that the area M/L shooters never miss this sale. Take care and be safe !!

Wal-mart is having some fine sales indeed! After looking around, they have the lowest prices on ammo I could find. 9 FMJ Winchester White Box 100 count for $14.00! Not bad at all!

They really don't. About as close as you will get, is 209 Muzzleloading Primers. At first they were the standard shotgun primers and then went to the reduced power primers. Pyrodex and Triple-7 is all. Again, only to support the M/L's they sell. Eventually that might go the way of the breech loaders they use to carry... SAD !!!.

Hey Shortwave .... where are you in SE Ohio ..... I'm just east of Logan. I'll probably check out the Wally World in Logan and see if they have any pyrodex at a good price ...

Here in central Ky. Wally also just had their clearance of Bp supplies #11 remingtons for $2.50 and the 209's were about all that was left, I don't use the 209's so I got what they had left of the 11's have 6 cans should last a few range sessions. I picked up a few cans of triple 7 last year for $9.00 ea..

Checked out a Walmart in Salem/Windham area of NH. Missed the sale, not much left for sidelock. Got a capper and bore cleaner. Salesman told me that the Derry store no longer carries hunting equipment of any type, order of the manager. Saved me a trip further up Rte 28. Snooze you loose.

My local Walmart had this sale and I bought a low-end CVA break action with fiber optic sights for $109 and a bunch of supplies. I went back today and all the 50 cal bullets were gone. I don't know if my local indoor range allows muzzleloaders - hope so.

Dang, the Walmarts in my area don't even carry rifles and in one stores case don't even carry ammo. And this from a store in the South!

it would be really really nice if the walmarts here sold ammo and firearms. NEW JERSEY stinks like that. i sent an email last year about this. they replied that it was a supply and demand. it would be great to pay less than 25.00 for a box of 100 50 gr. 777 pellets.

shortwave, i have enough trouble going hunting locally. the misses is being a real PITA these last few weeks. she doesn't understand one bit. and never will. that dec. to the end of jan. is the only time i can really hunt. bow season in the fall is taken away by working and kids soccer games. i have a small patch of woods on my street. no one knows who owns it.
