shooting 45 cal swc ?
what is the current model 45 auto for target shooting that will reliably feed lead swc bullets ?
I am looking for a 45 cal auto that might be able to double as a ccw and a target shooter using cast swc's |

I have 3 1911's and I only feed them 230gr. SWC. No problems at all.

Most of the current 1911's on the market have the lowered port and throated chamber that helps SWC's feed reliably. The only ones that may cough a little trying the feed anything but round nose might be pure stock guns manufactured to the original 1911 specs.

There's no telling, for sure, without trying them.
Getting one to be able to use swc, is not a big deal, though. it's not a complicated modification, if required.

No guarantee but most made after 1990 should work fine
Just make sure it has a throated barrel |
