Savage Axis 270 recoil

Ive looked for a recoil pad for the Savage Axis 270 and can not seem to find one also Ive been looking into alternatives on how to asorb the recoil I fig it was hollow in the stock and it was raining out side one day and I took the stock pad out to see a better look and obvious it is hollow. So two questions come to mind.
1) What recoil pad have you found to work?

2)Is it possible to feel the hollow stock, and with what and how would you suggest?

I use shot to fill the hollow in the stocks of my rifles. A plastic bag of shot and what ever for a filler to keep it in place.

I don't know what recoil pad might fit. Measure your whole spacing and look for a cut to fit pad with the same measurement.
