Well, the NRA or the CMP would be good places to start. Look for something local, and maybe something to flesh out your question... might get more help that way.

NRA Highpower is a good place to start. The most common matches you'll find are generally filled with Match rifle (any centerfire, iron sights with the ability to do a reload) or Service Rifle. They are usually shot offhand, sitting and prone. Long Range (600yds prone) is prone only, again, iron sights. There are also F-class events (any rifle, any sight, bipods allowed, etc).

Silouette is offhand only. I'm pretty sure they use scoped rifles.

Many ranges have Tactical rifle events which will vary from one place to the next.

Match date November 19th and 20th

I have no idea where you live in Arkansas(I live in Cabot, AR), so I'll have to wing-it.
Camp Robinson in North Little Rock is having a long range match on Nov 19/20, 2005.

More info can be had at www.cagc1.com

I'm not a member of their club but I will be going to see what it's all about. And I'll probably have my AR-10 and my 10FP both in .308 Winchester, who knows what will happen?

Might see you there.
