CMP Anniston location
Hello all,
I've been thinking about a spring vacation to visit one of the CMP locations. Looking at the map, Camp Perry is a looooong way from me. (Richmond, VA) Anniston looks a lot closer. Has anyone been to the South Store? How is the selection? Anything I should know? thanks

I am right in the middle of the two. Just make sure you have all the paperwork you need with ya and it is smooth sailing. There are a few hotels within a 5 minute drive that offer a discount for the CMP. Have fun.

Your choice, my handy, dandy PC Miler software says Anniston, AL is 620 miles from Richmond, Camp Perry, OH is 541 miles from Richmond. That's practical miles distance figured for trucking, so it's the big roads instead of through the weeds. Those miles will be almost exactly what your odometer will read at trips end, I know, I use it on a daily basis.
Anniston is the location where they ship from, Camp Perry has the historic range used for the biggest rifle competition held annually that I know of. Camp Perry also has Cedar Point, the home of the baddest roller coasters in the US, and Lake Erie as a side trip destination. |
