Don't laugh - I know we're all adults & this is a serious discussion of real firearms,,,,,but..

My grandson has a full auto Nerf gun.
Even my 100% anti gun sister in law has a real hoot shooting that thing.
She was so anti gun she wouldn't even let a toy gun in the house - until she shot that thing.
She went out and bought one for my nephew !

hard to pick just 1, if I could only have 1 handgun it would be that 686-1 all around it is the most practical pistol I own. Accurate as heck and the .357 cartridge has great stopping power. In a pinch it could be a carry weapon. The Buckmark is my favorite for just plain old shooting fun cheap to shoot and can trim a flys whiskers at 25 yards.

Springfield Armory XDM 9mm. Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy!!! The most accurate "out of the box" hand gun I have ever fired. Match grade, 4.5" barrel...19+1 rounds...eats any and all ammo...what's not to love!

Well, my Dan Wesson PM7-45 is just too nice not to love:

Then again, for a lot less money, the Ruger SR40c is dog-nuts accurate, reliable, and powerful:

My personal pet preference is high capacity 45 ACPs. Of the 22 firearms I own, my "go to" pistols are the Glock 21SF and the Springfield XD-45, both with Trijicon sights.
Rugged, reliable and high capacity.

I have a 1976 Browning Hi-Power that fits, points and shoots more comfortably than any other pistol I own. I just bought a Dan Wesson Guardian (Bobtail commander size 9mm 1911 with a alloy frame) and it also feels great but I haven't shot it yet.

I shoot my P226 9mm the best of all my semi-autos. My P226 .40 in Equinox trim is my best looking handgun, although the ported S&W Model 629 with the non-fluted cylinder is a close second. Most practical is a toss-up between my M&P 40C or M&P Shield 9, as these are my daily carry weapons.

The one I shoot the most? My 1952 Colt Super .38, with carved grips, and some "retro" parts: 1930's long wide hammer, checkered mainspring housing, old safety, and checkered trigger. It also has a Bar-Sto barrel and tight bushing, but otherwise is stock. The trigger just happed to turn out SUPER even with the ancient hammer dropped in. The grips are carved Kingwood that I discovered on ebay. I can often take a shotshell off the top of the target stand at 25 yards. Not bad with those tiny stock sights. [IMG][/IMG]

It would have to be my 9mm Hi-Power. Like every one says, "It just feels right
in my hand". A close second is my Model 6906, followed by my M&P40c, then
my Model 686, & dead last my Sigma SW40VE. It has a Crimson Trace laser &
an Apex Spring Kit. The trigger is still a bear compared to any of the others.

Glock 21SF. It was my last duty gun before retirement and the first handgun that truely felt like an extension of my arm. After I retired I bought one of my own.

That I own:
Sig SP2022. I love the way it feels in my hand(though I wish it was a single stack so it was a touch thinner since I'm in CA I can only had 10 rounds anyways) and the way it balances and "points" it also feels "solid" considering it's a polymer framed gun.
What I love even more though...it's my only gun

Impossible to pick one. However, I will list three of the guns in my modest collection and I mean modest compared to the virtual armories posted in this thread and yes, I will just admit it, I'm JEALOUS -- heck, I don't think I could afford the obligatory Safes to secure those beauties...

My 92, 1911 and Hi Power. The thing that for me seperates these from my other handguns is that they fit my hand like a glove and I am more (easily) accurate with them as though it's second nature-like. Essentially, they make me look much better at shooting than I actually am compared to same shooting sessions say with my Ruger P95 or Taurus 24/7 OSS.

Samuel2011, thanks for the kind words. It shoots as good as it looks. I am waiting for some overconfident fella with a high buck 1911 willing to wager at the range, but no takers so far. My gun looks so just ratty, but that Bar Sto barrel helps a lot.......

I gotta say my Ruger P345.

It's not the easiest to conceal, and it's not the prettiest semi I own, but it is far and away the most accurate and most reliable semi I own. If the S were ever really to hit the F, there's no doubt in my mind which one I would grab.

Hands down my 22/45. The only semi you need as long as you got a good centerfire wheel gun.
