Question pertaining to classifieds.
I have a friend who wants to sell his rifle. I told him about the forum and how good it is as a resource and that people constantly use it to buy things from other members. He seemed like he just didn't want to be bothered with it all (he doesn't use websites very often).
Would it be against the rules to put up a posting in the classifieds for his gun on his behalf (he has asked me to) and if anyone wants to buy, forward them his information so they can take it from that point on? |

I don't see a problem with that as long as you follow our forum rules, and more importantly, all federal and state laws concerning the sale. In other words, you are only describing the rifle and posting the notice. As you indicated, he will have to do all the paperwork and handle all the money transactions with an FFL if the deal is out-of-state.
