small rifle primers

I come with hat in hand admitting that I'm whipped. Not a small rifle primer anywhere in the state of Texas, it seems.

Any of you hoarders down here in central Texas willing to hook a fellow up with a few hundred small rifle primers so I can start loading for 223 rem. I'll pay retail + price for them and drive to you to get them if you're close enough.

Maybe it's just all the hype but the worst case scenarios I'm hearing say it might be weeks/months before the industry catches up with demand. Don't know about any of that - I just got the itch real bad to start reloading - got everything else I need - just need some danged primers.

Any takers please post or send PM

Same thing in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma too. I drove 10hrs round trip yesterday just to get 8# of BLC2. I went by 6 shops in total. No primers, nada, zilch, zero, zip.

Small rifle primers are extinct in Boise. None to be found.

Omaha is without any small rifle primers to speak of as well...trying to get into reloading at this time has proven difficult.

About a week ago, I ordered some Federal 205M small rifle primers from Bruno's, but they weren't cheap. About $44 per 1000. 6mmBR.com has been listing current sources for brass and primers in their daily bulletins lately.

I looked at Wideners earlier. They had a few SRP in stock. The Wolf brand. I had to register to buy anything. So I registered which took about two minutes or less and then went back to purchase a case and they were all gone. Dang it!!!

Uhm if you found them at all that is cheap. I am one of those idiots that bought off of gunbroker. Paid way to much. BUT, in a couple days I will have SRP

I have been wanting to reload for quite some time. I decided last fall to get in. Well needless to say it was the wrong time to start buying. Not to mention I had no idea that primers would be this hard to get. Soo I waited on them

With me being a new guy into reloading if you have extra cheap stuff, drop me a pm.

Try T&T reloading. They had 5000 Win SR for 138.00 plus haz-mat.

Lon371 don't be too hard on yourself. One guy paid a whopping $115.00 for a thouand small pistol primers a few days ago. They were the older winchesters with the nickle plating to boot.

I feel sorry for anyone getting into reloading right now. It's tough with the low stock and silly prices on supplies. Its still a good idea. It may mean the difference between having ammo and not having ammo.

When I moved into my new house 3.5 years ago my shooting buddy laughed at all of my supplies and 1400 pounds of lead for casting. He ain't laughing anymore.

He went to a local store to get some .32 caliber bullets. He paid over double what I paid for mine. What really got him was that the box of bullets had three price stickers on it. They had kept raising the price on the same box of bullets until they sold. Thats just wrong but what are you gonna do.
