Scope for Weatherby Vanguard 7mm Rem Mag
I just got a Weatherby Vanguard chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. It came with a Bushnell Banner 4x12 40 scope. I also have a Simmons Pro Plus 50 4x12 50mm scope. I have read more positives about the Simmons than the Bushnell. What scope of the two would be the best in your opinion?

Well, it wouldn't be the Simmons. Some Banners hold up, many don't. Their 3200/4200 series are good scopes. |

I've got an Elite 3200 on mine. Holds up well, and the Rainguard feature really does work as advertised.
The Banner is garbage. Had one and it fell apart on a Savage 30-06 in one range session. The Simmons is likewise garbage. |

The lowest level Bushell scope that is any good is the Trophy. For the recoil of a 7mm mag, I would step up to at least the 3200. In a Simmons brand, the ONLY decent scope they sell is the Aetec.
