Shooting Ranges In NC
Hey all. im in south florida right now, but me and my girlfriend are moving to Boone, NC (near Appalachain state University) in a few months or so. i was wondering if there is anyone from up there who knows of any good shooting ranges around? im sure there will be, seeing as it is in the mountains and all but im just curious. thanks

Check out packing.org, it will give you a list of ranges in your state.
If you're in the Raleigh, NC area I can give you some better personal opinions. |

I seem to remember the Watauga Gun Club was one club in the area. (They were listed on the IDPA website when I looked a while back).

Yeah there is Watagua Gun Club and there is Foothills Defensive Shooters down the mountain just a tad past Wilkesboro.

you best have permission before you go on those mountain peoples land.
they DO NOT like strangers. as stated above, Foothills IDPA club can put you on 2 excellent ranges near Boone. Morganton, NC has a top notch skeet/trap range. it's open Wednesday at 3pm. and Sunday from 1 pm. Top notch club house, heating & AC, drink machines and lighted Range. Free instruction also. |
