Anyone familiar with Turnipseed Firearms Instruction?

I came across their website and they apparently are located in Chandler Arizona. The web site shows that SWAT magazine gave them a good review.

Thought of seeing if I can get into a class of theirs if they are highly recommended. Looking at the shotgun class they have.

Anyone here from Arizona that has gone through a class of theirs?

Dust Devil-

I wrote the review on Turnipseed, probably ten years or so back. While I didn't agree with everything he had to say, I did learn a few things. My humble suggestion is to take as much training from anyone you can, but then it's up to you to sort out what works for you in your daily lifestyle.

I can only report what I have seen and experience

Turnipseed is know in the wider circles of the shooting community.

I went to him about 15 years ago as a freshly minted gunsight graduate and I thought I was pretty hot stuff....

He has this thing he does where he takes your weaver stance and tunes it up to a point of stabiliy where you can

1. transfer it from the pistol to the rifle shotgun etc.

2. move and fire from a 'retention position'

all I want to say is this:
you have to experience it for yourself to make an honest assessment.

I will tell you mine: the guy has it going on. she sin ne quo non of shooting is stance. most schools teach it for 20 minutes. he spends 2 days tuning it up. the curriculum coveres all the basics of shooting.

I will post more later...
