Steel shoot

Been reading up on IDPA with interest. Now I see one of the local clubs advertising a "steel shoot". Can anyone fill me in on what that's all about. Is it the same thing as silhouette shooting?

Thanks

Probably not.
Metallic Silhouette is shot at long to very long range - 50 to 200 meters - mostly with single shots in rifle calibers. Separate class for revolvers.
Steel Shooting is probably going to be like the Steel Challenge; speed shooting at plates and poppers at short to medium range - 7 to 35 yards.
