Anyone who likes Unique should love Power Pistol
Its a very good powder I use it in .45 ACP, 9mm, 40 S&W and .38 Special +P loads.

Looking in the cabinet I have on hand
  • 2400
  • Unique
  • Lil Gun (I like it better than H110)
  • Herco
  • H110 and WW296 (they are the same, but I have both)
  • Red Dot (I've used it for years for my .45 ACP practice load)
  • IMR 4227(good .45 Colt powder)
  • HS6
  • Bullseye
  • Blue Dot
  • and TiteGroup
Oh and of course Power Pistol.

If I see a load I want to try that I don't have the powder for I get it.

Even though there 'old fashioned' a person could probably get by with just Unique,2400 and Bullseye if they had to.

This reminds me I've got to get some Trail Boss and try it out.

W231 - Universal pistol powder with low flash and easy metering. Lots of load data for a wide variety of calibers. quick powder not for max loads.

Power Pistol - I may replace with AA#5, HS-6, WSF or something with lower flash. Meters easy. Medium power loads.

H110 - magnum pistol, meters pretty good, but requires 90% to 100% loads.

Haven't tried the old school Clays, Unique, 2400, Herco, Bullseye, Red Dot, Blue Dot stuff. I like easy metering.

I use W231 in my 41magnum for lo-po rounds.

Hard to use up these pistol powders as I shoot about once a month with about 300-500 rounds.

4) Winchester 296

In reality, I only need 3 of these, Unique, Blue Dot and 296.
