What is the most fun handgun gun you have ever shot?

Maybe Im getting old. I've shot many revolvers and many semi autos. Recently I've been talking to my gun dealer about fun guns to shoot. Now I own the gammet from Sig to Glock to walther , 357 Sig to 44mag to .380. Yesterday he talked me into buying my fist Buckmark, its a ss camper. Its so accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Im a big guy who likes big calibers but this 22 is the most fun gun i think I've ever shot. The next one my dealer wants me to try is a FN 5.7 cant wait. Got to save for a while though.

Proudly getting into trouble as fast as my wife can get me out of it for 30 years

HK 5.7 huh? You sure it isn't the FN 5.7 (Five Seven)?

If the latter then yes, they are very fun. If he was serious about it being an HK, then good luck finding one because I don't think they exist

The most fun handgun that I have shot is a Ruger Mark III target with a red dot sight. Lots of cheap and accurate fun that little pistol is.

Ain't the .22's neat? Have an OLD Ruger MkI bull barrel that still shoots just fine.
I think those 5.7's are a bit pricey? And the ammo, hmm, pricey too? If you can find it.

Of what I own..My favorite are my Ruger MK's...the MKIII hunter is by far my favorite, followed by the MKIII 22/45 slab side, and last buck not least the MKII standard...love my Ruger 22's

Got to try a G18 once...that was probably my best ever...

My Kimber 22 conversion kit on any of several bottom halves I have. Just about the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

When I read the title of this thread, I immediately thought about my Buckmark. Upon opening the thread, and seeing more Buckmark love... I had to smile.

They're great pistols.

Mine is an early "Standard" (~1986?) - slab-sided 5.5" barrel, plastic grips, adjustable rear sight, and pretty much nothing else. I've upgraded some of the screws and hardware to current standards, and replaced a few parts; but it has never given me a problem. I'd have to check my notes (currently inaccessible), but I believe the current round count through it is just a couple hundred off of 129,000 rounds.

But, I will admit that mild wadcutter loads in almost any revolver are almost as much fun as the Buckmark. ...just in a different way.

For me, the fun of shooting any gun is in blowing stuff up. One of the best sessions I had was with 1 liter plastic bottles. I set them up at about 20 yards, shooting with my hand loads from my Glock 17.
I had a DSLR on a tripod, shooting with a decent lens and shutter speeds of 1/2000 and 1/4000.
Part of the "fun" was in paying close enough attention to aim and fire, and then to trip the shutter at the right time to see what happened. No 2 bottles did the same thing.
More fun is had in shooting at the "personal size" watermelons with the same gun and load.
With my Ruger .22/45, it's potatoes. They splatter nicely, and give that distinct sound of a bullet hitting something wet.

In rimfire, it is my S&W model 617 ten shot .22 LR with an 8 3/8" bbl. It shoots like a rifle. In centerfire I really enjoy shooting my S&W 625, .45acp with full moon clips. I used to have a couple of S&W .500s and they were a hoot to shoot and everyone in the family wanted to step up to the firing line and touch off a couple rounds.

Might ruffle a few feathers or wake up the brand snobs but, my little Taurus PT738 is a fine little gun. Besides being very accurate at 25 to 30 feet and being a hoot to shoot, this little .380acp conceals VERY easily whether wearing shorts and a tee shirt or suit and tie. The Pachmeyer grip provides LOTS of comfort and control.

After 500 rounds down the pipe without so much as a hiccup, it's my EDC......

My Ruger 22/45 fitted with a Tactical Solutions upper, red dot scope and suppressor. You just point and click without the need for ear plugs.

My Ruger Mk III Target definitely ranks up there. It's a hoot everytime it gets broken out.

The FN FiveseveN is fun as well. Extremely flat shooting and accurate, just wish it was cheaper.

Although both of those are fun, nothing compared to the full auto M16s my previous department had. There is something about flicking the selector switch that one extra time, and emptying a mag in an instant! Yeah, it's not a handgun, but wow!

Ok, the Mk III wins..lol.

All my handguns are a hoot to shoot. That includes the Buckmark. But the one that puts a smile on everyone's face that shoots it and the one they talk about for weeks after they shoot it is the .460.

Most fun? The first handgun I ever shot in my life: a .44 Auto Mag. Except for the muzzle blast, it was awesome. Enormous cartridges yet very little recoil. Only fired one round and that was enough for me. Too naive to even know I needed hearing protection.

The one thing I clearly remember is the owner saying we needed to keep track of the brass as we shot. Now I know why.

I own/have owned many nice pistols...really hard to beat (IMHO) a 9mm Semi-Auto..I have a Taurus 99AF.... Has a nice feel, just a bit amount of recoil, and is fantastic for shooting at steel plates or plinking cans. I have other bigger calibers, magnums, etc... but this one is a lot of fun to load and shoot.

I would rather take a round of 50BMG to the foot than a 22short to the base of the skull. all 26 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple.
