New Savage 42

(excuse me posting here, but I had no idea where to post a question about a hybrid rifle/shotgun)

I see that Savage has started making a polymer version of the old model 24 O/U combo guns. Anyone seen or shot one of these yet?

If so, what are they retailing for?

Never handled/shot one but I think they go for about $375-$400 around here. They look cool, I kinda want the .22 mag version myself

Steve, if my wife gets that job in Greensboro (or the one in Columbia,SC or the one in Starkville,MS) I'll be moving to a place that doesn't allow a rifle when turkey hunting. That means I'll need to sell my Florida turkey gun - Savage 24F .22Hornet over 12ga.

Kind of sad. I only got to use it one year before I lost access to the lease.

.22 hornet over 12. Nice combo. You should hang onto it. Those are hard to find up here. If you move to Greensboro and wanna get rid of it Ill trade you a shotgun for it hows that?

The Savage 42 is NOT a "polymer version of the 24" it is a very different design in the same configuration.
