Tried out 2 new toys yesterday, an Uberti 1861 navy and a Chrony Master Beta chronograph. Shot the 1861 with a .380 ball, 25 grains of Elephant 3f and Remington # 10 caps. This is a near max load in this revolver. Grease over the chambers. Got 948 fps average velovity with the 84 grain ball. To my delight the gun shot dead-on at 50 ft, replicas often shoot high, and gave good combat accuracy, 3-4 in offhand. I suspect that G-O would give higher velocity as when tested in the past,in other guns,it did so.

Yep I have a crony and will be testing my 58, 60's/2 of them, my 62, and my Dragoon 1st mod... I might even see how much gas the Dragoon has got... Then I get to work on the Henry 44/40... later.. Turtle Bob
