Unboxing World War II Militaria and Collectibles

I wasn't sure where to share this video, but I thought you guys might enjoy watching me unbox a fairly good collection of World War II gear and other WW2 stuff. I picked this box of stuff up on ebay, and I've priced each item out as best I can and let's just say I definitely got my money's worth on this haul. I thought it would be fun to open it up and take it out on camera and just discover what is in it. I have no idea what a few of the things are, if any of you do, please let me know.

Here's the video:

cool stuff. i really like the mess kit. I have always thought about getting into WWII collectibles, but really don't know where to start. I have a Mosin that I love, but thinking other stuff that I could keep in the open in the house. Going to gun shows there is so much. I don't just want to buy a bunch of crap and have a garbage collection, and not looking for the super rare high end stuff either. would just like some interesting conversation pieces, just no idea what to start with. Helmets? Flags? Patches?

Anyway, enough of my ramble. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.

Got an interesting private message from "Savage99" who said:

"Take your Nazi crap and go away."

Interesting that he simply made a number of ass-umptions.

My Uncle George lost his leg in the Battle of Bulge fighting the Nazis.

My grandfather was the only one in my mother's family in Germany who escaped before the war began, the rest of our family in Germany died at the hands of the Nazis.

So, if I want to own a Wehrmacht helmet as part of my collection of WWII militaria I am not interested in hearing from ignorant jerks like "Savage99"

^^ Behavior like that is hard to comprehend.

My dad served ina B-29 crew off Guam. He has a picture of himself standing by his brother's grave there.

He has no beef with the Japanese people now. I now have the Arisaka he brought home. He never seemed to think there was a problem with having a reminder around. (At least he didn't throw the thing away in the many decades he could have.)
