heaviest 9mm bullets

What is the heaviest 9mm bullet out there? Do they only go up to 147 grain?

The heaviest jacketed bullets that I know of is 147 grains. Cast bullets may be available a bit heavier, as custom made jacketed bullets. I really don't think you can fit a much heavier bullet into a magazine than 147 grains, due to available case room and magazine constraints.

Wideners sells a 158gr FMJ made by IMI. I guess it's specifically made for the Uzi.

There is that 158g IMI; Rainier offers a 151g plated bullet (very nice); I've seen lead bullets up to 160g.

Suggest 'medium' burn rate powders for 9mm 'heavies', like AA5 / HS6 / Power Pistol / 3N37 / N350 / WAP / etc.

I cast some 160's for 9mm, they really shoot soft!!

Loading long bullets in 9mm can be a pain, the long shank of the bullet can bulge the case enough to cause them to hang up in the chamber.

I too like medium burn powders unless loading a competition specific load, competition loads with 9mm are all loaded with Clays at my house.

147 is the heaviest I've heard of in jacketed. For cast bullets you could use .357 diameter bullets and run them through a Lee sizer.
